 Boot\Recovery RePacker

This program is able to:

  •  Unpack\Pack Boot/Recovery.img contents and ramdisk
  •  Convert PNG images to RLE format

Disclaimer: Remember that this is a development tool, and if you use it, you know what you're doing. This tool can destroy your device, life, home and kill your cat so i not responsible for any damage caused by it :D (These things are unlikely)

  1. Does this support Amlogic boot.img's? or UBIFS boot.imgs? I can unpack them manually ( I made a .sh script) but I fail to pack them back :S

    1. You must try it :D I'm tested boot.img's from Allwinner A10,A13 and LG GT540 with success.

  4. it seems that the boot image generated by the software is exactly 4096 bytes smaller than the original. I made sure that files I changed have exactly same size as the originals.

  5. When I unpack/repack my boot.img here: https://copy.com/NXt9aksVAswP

    The file size is different and the size & address of the ramdisk are different.

    If I flash the new image, my device won't boot.
    If I hex edit the ramdisk address to be the same as the original boot img, it boots fine.

    Device is a random chinese tablet with a qualcom processor.

  11. Hi. I have a boot.img from Yotaphone Qualcomm 801 - it unpack everything but repacked img has 7mb instead of 13 and device won't boot. Can U bring me a solution or add this device support?

    1. Unfortunately no, i'll try fix this if i have enough time.
      Currently it's working with Chinese chipsets (AllWinner, Mediatek etc.).
